Application

Tetradecane can be used for the synthesis of thermally stable nano-encapsulated phase change materials (NEPCMs), exhibiting thermal energy storage and heat transfer enhancement applications.[1] It can also be used as an n-alkane model for the study of ignition time measurements for larger n-alkanes.[2]
