General description
Chromium(III) oxide is also referred to as chromic oxide. It is commonly employed as a marker in various digestion assays conducted on animals.
Chromium(III) oxide is mainly used as a green pigment in paints, inks and ceramics. On a commercial scale, it is synthesized by the reduction of sodium chromate with sulfur.
Application
Chromium(III) oxide (Cr2O3) has been used as a standard for the determination of chromium content in cattle feces by employing different digestion techniques.1 It has also been employed as a digestibility marker in a study.
Used in a solid-state reaction to form the new ternary oxide, CrVMoO7, which should find application in selective oxidation. Its crystal structure was also determined.
Used in a solid-state reaction to form the new ternary oxide, CrVMoO7, can be used in selective oxidation.

The CP digestibility is traditionally measured by chemical analyses of CP and marker concentration in digesta and diets. Potentially, CP digestibility can also be predicted by marker concentrations and spectral analyses of digesta and diet. Spectroscopy is a rapid, nondestructive

While many studies of heterogeneous chemistry on Cr(2)O(3) surfaces have focused on its catalytic activity, less is known about chemistry on this surface under atmospheric conditions. We report here studies of the thermal and photochemical reactions of NO(2) on Cr(2)O(3)
