General description

Normal carrier sera, produced from pooled lots of sera from healthy, non-immunized donkeys.
Normal donkey serum is a common blocking agent used to reduce background staining by preventing non-specific binding of antibodies to tissue or fragment crystallizable (FC) receptors.[1][2]

Application

Normal Donkey Serum, Sterile has been used to reduce artificial staining of non-specific proteins during double-immunofluorescent labeling.[3] It is also suitable for use in radioimmunoassay.

pH 7.0-8.5.

Reconstitution

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 6 months at -20°C.
