General description

Shown to inhibit protein synthesis through ADP-ribosylation of elongation factor 2. Cytopathic for a number of cell lines and exhibits toxicity in animals. Has enzymatic activity identical to that of diphtheria toxin, however it has distinct target-cell specificities and is immunologically unrelated.

Reconstitution

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long term storage or refrigerate (4°C) for short term storage. Stock solutions are stable for up to 2 weeks at 4°C or for up to 6 months at -20°C.
