General description

Solvent Resistant Pensfeature ultra-permanent ink that resists solvents such as xylene, alcohol,acetone and formalin. Ideal for histology and cytology. Markingswill not run on embedded cassettes, frosted or painted slides or labware, evenafter repeated washes and solution treatments. Not recommended for use onnon-frosted/non-painted glass or plasticware.

    1. This product is a fine tip pen that is resistant to most solvents, such as xylene and DMSO. The marker is best suited for use with labware items such as histology cassettes, microscope slides and cryogenic vials. The marker is expected to be suitable for use with typical paper labels.

  2. Would this be suitable for use in the same way as a PAP pen? Is it also water resistant and could be used to draw a hydrophobic barrier around a section

    1. This product is not intended to be used as a PAP pen. This pen is resistant to xylene, alcohols, and DMSO and shows moderate resistance to acetone. The item is generally used to label histology cassettes, microscope slides and cryogenic vials. Markings will not run on frosted/painted labware and are smear-proof, odorless and fade-resistant.
