Application

All Prestige Antibodies Powered by Atlas Antibodies are developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project and as a result, are supported by the most extensive characterization in the industry.

The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. Biochem/physiol Actions

Zinc finger protein 410 is also known as APA1 and APA-1. Its expression increases in senescent human fibroblasts independent of telomere shortening. Extended passage, telomerase-immortalized fibroblasts show increased levels of this gene transcript as well as the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p16. The gene in fibroblast is modified by the ubiquitin-like protein SUMO-1, which increases its half-life possibly by blocking ubiquitin-mediated degradation. Its over-expression induces transcription of the extracellular matrix-remodeling genes MMP1 and PAI2, which are associated with fibroblast senescence. The gene is a transcription factor that regulates expression of matrix-remodeling genes during fibroblast senescence.
