Application

Anti-PHKG1 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. Biochem/physiol Actions

PHKG1 (Phosphorylase b kinase γ1) is the component of phosphorylase b kinase (PHK) involved in the regulation of glycogenolysis. It catalytically controls the hormonal activity during glycogen breakdown. It is expressed between type I and type II muscle fibers and liver. Mutation in PHKG1 causes muscle glycogenosis with weakness and musculatur atrophy.
