Application
PEI can be used to functionalize single-walled nanotubes (SWNTs) to improve their solubility and biocompatibility while maintaining the structural integrity of the original SWNT. Covalently functionalized SWNTs find application in CO2 absorption and gene delivery.
Branched PEI can also be used to modify the surface properties of adsorbents. PEI-modified hydrous zirconium oxide/PAN nanofibers are used for the defluorination of groundwater as they show high fluoride adsorption capacity and a wide working pH range.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. This compound is readily soluble in hot water and some organic solvents, such as methanol, ethanol, or chloroform. However, the solubility in diethylene glycol or other glycols has not been determined.

We offered a 2 mg/ml Branched polyethylenimine solution (Product no. 913375) that was stable for 2 years at 2 - 8 degrees C.
