Heat inactivation: Up to 15 units of enzyme inactivated at 65 °C for 15 minutes.
Application
XbaI is a restriction enxyme that cleaves DNA at the recognition site 5′-T/CTAGA-3′ to generate DNA fragments with 5′-cohesive termini.
Other Notes
Supplied with 10x Restriction Enzyme Buffer SH (B3657).
Comment: Xba I will only partially cleave DNA isolated from E. coli strains that have the dam methylase (dam+ strains). May cleave at secondary recognition sites under non-optimal conditions.
Physical form
Solution in 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 1 mM EDTA, 100 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM PMSF, 10 mM 2-mercaptoethanol, 50% glycerol (v/v), 0.02% polydocanol at 4 °C

The ubiquitin-interacting motif (UIM) is a short peptide motif with the dual function of binding ubiquitin and promoting ubiquitylation. This motif is conserved throughout eukaryotes and is present in numerous proteins involved in a wide variety of cellular processes including

The specificity of XbaI, SalI, HhaI, PstI, BamHI and SstI is relaxed in the presence of an organic solvent, such as 20% glycerol or 8% dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). This alteration, very pronounced in some cases, requires an excess of enzyme, varies
