N-Vanillylnonanamide has antifouling properties. It acts as an nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) inhibitor.

Application

N-Vanillylnonanamide has been used for the preparation of spicules.[1] It has also been used to reduce the firing of most extrinsic sensory axons.
