Reactive blue 4 (C.l. 61205) is a dichlorotriazine dye also known as procion brilliant blue MX-R, procion brilliant blue M.
Application
Reactive blue dyes have been used for labeling antibodies. Such anthraquinone dyes are widely used as immobilized ligands in systems for protein separations. Reactive blue 4 is used as a tracer to assess apical leakage in dental fillings. It is routinely used to stain proteins on electrophoretic gels.

Anaerobic decolorization of anthraquinone dye represented by Reactive Blue 4 (RB4) was studied to evaluate the factors involved in dye-reducing behaviors such as dye concentration, co-substrate, treatment temperature, salt content, and dye-reducing microbial consortia. The experiment was conducted using digested
The oxidation of a reactive dye, Reactive Blue 4, RB4, (C.I. 61205), widely used in the textile industries to color natural fibers, was studied by electrochemical techniques. The oxidation on glassy carbon electrode and reticulated vitreous carbon electrode occurs in

Monodisperse porous particles, poly(glycidylmethacrylate-co-ethylenedimethacrylate), P(GMA-EDMA) beads with diameter of 7 microm were prepared by a single-step swelling and polymerization method. The polymer particles were advantaged through immobilization of Procion Bule MX-R, which was incubated by epichlorohydrin via the epoxide groups
