General description

p31comet is also called MAD2L1-binding protein (MAD2L1BP) and Caught by MAD2 protein (CMT2). p31comet silences the spindle checkpoint and allows mitosis to proceed through anaphase by binding MAD2L1 after it has become dissociated from the MAD2L1-CDC20 complex. p31comet is expressed throughout the cell cycle, with levels increasing and then remaining constant until late mitosis after which they drop.

Immunogen

Recombinant protein corresponding to human p31comet.

Application

Detect p31comet using this mouse monoclonal antibody, Anti-p31comet Antibody, clone E29.19.14 validated for use in western blotting & IP.
