General description
Product Source: E.coli
Stromal Cell-Derived Factor-1 alpha (SDF-1 alpha) is a recently discovered protein belonging to the alpha chemokine (CXC) family of cytokines. Recombinant Mouse SDF-1 alpha is a 7.9 kDa protein containing 68 amino acid residues.
Physical form
The sterile filtered solution was lyophilized with no additives.
Storage and Stability
The lyophilized powder is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. Reconstituted mouse SDF-1 alpha should be stored in undiluted aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Analysis Note
Specific Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood monocytes using a concentration of 50-100ng/ml.
