General description

F.A.M.E. Mix RM-5 belongs to the class of quantitative mixes listed, which conform to the requirements of American Oil Chemists′ Society (AOCS) Method Ce 1-62. The composition of each mentioned mix is similar to the fatty acid distribution of certain oils. It comprises of babassu, coconut, ouri-curi, and palm kernel oils.

Application

F.A.M.E. Mix RM-5 is used as an external reference standard to determine the fatty acid composition in different pennycress variant samples using gas chromatography (GC) technique.[1][2]
