General description

EPA 8020B Aromatic Volatile Organics Mix 1 is a multi-component solution containing benzene, chlorobenzene, 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 1,3-dichlorobenzene, 1,4-dichlorobenzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, o-xylene, and m-xylene as certified reference materials (CRMs).
US EPA 8000 Series methods are analytical methods for identifying and quantifying halogenated and aromatic volatile organic compounds on the EPA′s Appendix VIII and Appendix IX lists in solid wastes and groundwater at active hazardous treatment, storage, and disposal sites.

Application

EPA Method 8020B Volatile Aromatic Organics Mix 1 is used as a CRM to determine the levels of volatile organic compound (VOC) analytes in soil samples by gas chromatography coupled to flame ionization detector (GC-FID).[1][2]
