General description

EPA 8100 PAH Additional Components Mix is a multi-component solution containing dibenzo[a,e]pyrene, dibenzo[a,h]pyrene, 3-methylcholanthrene, dibenz[a,h]acridine, benzo[j]fluoranthene, dibenz[a,j]acridine, and 7H-dibenzo[c,g]carbazole as certified reference materials (CRMs).
US EPA 8000 Series methods are analytical methods for identifying and quantifying halogenated and aromatic volatile organic compounds on the EPA′s Appendix VIII and Appendix IX lists in solid wastes and groundwater at active hazardous treatment, storage, and disposal sites. EPA 8100 method is typically used to determine polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons.

Application

EPA 8100 PAH Additional Components Mix is used as a CRM to quantify polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) analytes in crude oil samples by atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer (FT-ICR MS) and gas chromatography (GC) based detection techniques.[1] It can be used as a CRM to analyze PAHs in air particulate matter by GC coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS).[2]
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.

Other Notes

This Certified Reference Material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO 17034 and ISO/IEC 17025. All information regarding the use of this CRM can be found on the certificate of analysis.
