General description

Solvent rinse kits are generally suitable to rinse a column. The detector end of the column is placed in the rinse kit vial through the straight arm. Solvent is added to the vial supplying inert gas from the other arm of tee-fitting. Pressure created in the sealed vial forces the solvent to pass through the column rinsing the column.[1]

Application

Solvent rinse kit was used in column coating procedure while investigating oligoproline chiral selectors for enantioselective gas chromatography.[2] It may be used in rinsing dried packing capillary entrapped column used for HPLC and capillary electrochromatography.[3]
