Questions

  1. Can the TD Tenax TA tubes, such as 20913-U, be reused?

    1 answer
    1. The TD Tenax TA tubes are designed for reuse and can generally be reused up to approximately 50 times before replacement is recommended. To prepare the tube for reuse, it must undergo a reconditioning process before sampling. This involves using the thermal desorber with a conditioning option, or an offline tube conditioner, to heat the tubes to around 320 °C. During conditioning, high-purity, moisture-free helium or nitrogen should pass through the tubes at a flow rate of 30-100 mL/min while the tube is being heated and until it cools to room temperature. Typically, conditioning the tubes for 30-60 minutes is sufficient for most applications.
