packed GC

General description

Gas chromatography column are of basically two types packed column and open tubular column. In packed column the carrier gas must percolate through its porous bed. The shape and physical form of the packed column depends upon the dimensions of the chromatograph oven, the nature of the sample, the sample load and the column inlet pressure.
This column set is specifically designed for a specific column switching application. Column manufacturing procedurs have been optimized resulting in column sets that provide highly reproducible analyses.

application

Packed GC column with flame ionization detector (FID) maybe used for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of gasoline and associated contaminated groundwater. It may also be used with electron capture detector (ECD) for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of halogenated compounds present in gasoline.
