General description

Nunc Low Cell Binding Surface

For some cells, attachment is a problem as it may cause unwanted differentiation. Using the Low Cell Binding surface, cell attachment will be prevented.

The technology is based on a polymer presenting a phosphorylcholine moiety to the cells, thereby mimicking the surface of a cell membrane.

The surface is biologically inert and biocompatible.

Applications:

  • Culture of cells in suspension
  • Culture of cells in non-adherent cell clusters (spheroids)
  • Measurement of soluble cell products (proteins, etc.)

Examples of cell types:

  • Embryonic stem cells/Embryonic bodies
  • Neural stem cells/Neurospheres
  • Macrophages
