application

VEGF Receptor-3 (Flt-4)/Fc Chimera from mouse is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consist of VEGF Receptor-3 fused with6X histidine tagged Fc portion of human IgG1 by a polypeptide linker. It may be used as a specific marker for lymphatic vessels as well as plays a pivotal role in the development of the lymphatic vessel system. The product was used to study the novel technique for pharmacological manipulation of blood and lymphatic vascularization in cultured mouse embryos ex vivo.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

VEGF Receptor-3 (Flt-4) belongs to class III subfamily of RTKs and is expressed mainly in endothelial cells. VEGF Receptor-3 can block VEGF-C/D and inhibits lymphangiogenesis and lymphatic metastasis in orthotopic urinary bladder cancer (OUBC).[2]

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline

Analysis Note

The activity is measured by its ability to bind human VEGF-D.
