General description
Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes have a well-defined pellicle structure that retains molecules and particles larger than their nominal molecular weight cut off (MWCO), while allowing lower molecular-weight solvent and solutes to pass through. Dramatic concentration of macromolecules can be achieved with UF membranes. The same high-performance Millipore membranes used in Minitan plates, Pellicon cassettes, Helicon-UF cartridges, and Prostak UF modules, these disks are configured for use in pressurized, stirred ultrafiltration cells. UF membranes in stirred cells are recommended for method development prior to scale-up, or for final concentration of samples processed through Minitan-UF or Pellicon cassette systems.
Maximum rated pressure: 100 psi, depending on the hardware the disks are used with.
Temperature limit: up to 50 °C
pH range: 1-14 for PT series; 2-13 for PL series
