Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor II (TNF RII) is a 75kD transmembrane glycoprotein expressed mainly on endothelial cells, macrophages, Langerhans cells and monocytes. It has a crucial role in regulating TNF α function by antagonizing its biological activity that is by blocking TNF-α-induced apoptosis. Anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor Soluble Receptor II (TNF sRII) antibody can be used in western blotting. Goat anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor Soluble Receptor II antibody reacts specifically with mouse TNF sRII. This antibody has also shown less than 15% cross-reactivity for recombinant human TNF-sRII.
Specificity
The antibody detects mouse TNF RII and shows <15% cross-reactivity with recombinant human TNF sRII.
Immunogen
recombinant mouse TNF soluble receptor II (TNF sRII) expressed in Escherichia coli.
Application
Anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor Soluble Receptor II (TNF sRII) antibody can be used in indirect ELISA.
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline.

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a part of the Gram-negative bacteria cell wall, is a potent inducer of tumor necrosis factor (TNF). TNF is an important mediator in Gram-negative infections such as meningococcal septic shock, but its harmful action can be prevented by

We have used confocal immunofluorescence microscopy and immunogold electron microscopy to localize tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptors in cultured human umbilical vein endothelial cells. The 75-kd receptor is largely expressed on the cell surface and undergoes endocytosis and transport to
Langerhans' cells (LC) represent the major antigen-presenting cells within the epidermis. Following exposure of the skin to antigen, LC take up antigen, migrate into draining lymph nodes (DLN) and present processed antigen to T lymphocytes, thereby initiating an immune response.

Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha is a pleiotropic cytokine involved in a broad spectrum of inflammatory and immune responses including proliferation, differentiation and cell death induction in several cell types. The biological effects of TNF-alpha are mediated via the cell-surface TNF
