General description

Rat macrophage inflammatory protein-1α (MIP-1α) is an 8.0 kDa protein containing 69 amino acid residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue microphages.

Physical form

Sterile filtered and then lyophilized without any additives.

Reconstitution

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers.
