General description
FGF-9 (also known as Glial Activating Factor) is a heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of glial cells and other cells that express FGF receptors. The rat FGF-9 is a 23.3 kDa protein containing 205 amino acid residues.
Physical form
Lyophilized from 10 mM Tris, pH 7.8 plus Ammmonium Sulfate.
Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in 10 mM Tris (pH 8.0) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. This solution can be diluted into other aqueous buffers.
