General description

FGF-9 is a heparin binding growth factor that belongs to the FGF family. FGF-9 stimulates the proliferation and activation of glial cells and other cells that express FGF receptors. Recombinant mouse FGF-9 is a 23.3 kDa protein containing 205 amino acid residues.

Physical form

Sterile filtered and lyophilized in 10 mM Tris, pH 8.0 plus 0.15 M Ammonium Sulfate.

Reconstitution

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.2-0.5 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers.

Cyanobacteriochromes (CBCRs), which are exclusive to and widespread among cyanobacteria, are photoproteins that sense the entire range of near-UV and visible light. CBCRs are related to the red/far-red phytochromes that utilize linear tetrapyrrole (bilin) chromophores. Best characterized from the unicellular
