JW67 is an efficient and specific inhibitor of the canonical Wnt signaling in vitro and in vivo. It appears that JW67 affects the multiprotein complex consisting of β-catenin/GSK-3b/AXIN/APC/CK1 that controls the degradation of β-catenin. JW67 reduces growth of SW480 CRC cells in vitro by inhibiting cell-cycle progression at the G1/S phase.
