LRSRTKIIRIRH is an anti-HS peptide that binds specifically to heparan sulfate (HS) and prevents HSV-1 infection in vivo and in cell culture. It also prevents entry of of various HSV-1 strains. LRSRTKIIRIRH exhibits protective effects against HSV-1 infection of the mouse cornea.
