Filamin A (FLNA) is an X-linked, ubiquitous actin-binding protein. It is a 280kDa protein consisting of two N-terminal calponin homology domains and a long C-terminal rod-like domain. FLNA is mapped to human chromosome Xq28.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Filamin A around the phosphorylation site of Ser2152.
Immunogen Range: 2121-2170
Biochem/physiol Actions
Filamin A (FLNA) has the ability to stop or induce the growth and development of cancer. It regulates the gene transcription of RNA polymerase III in transformed cell lines. In males, mutation in filamin A (FLNA) results in Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
