General description

Anti-ARHGEF10 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ARHGEF10 protein.
The gene ARHGEF10 (Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 10) is mapped to human chromosome 8p23. It belongs to the Rho-specific guanine nucleotide exchange factor family. The protein contains tandem Dbl homology (DH) domain, pleckstrin homology (PH) domain and putative transmembrane domains.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human ARHGEF10.

Immunogen Range: 339-388

Biochem/physiol Actions

ARHGEF10 (Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 10) works as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for RhoA, RhoB and RhoC. It is involved in atherosclerotic cerebral infarction and mutation in ARHGEF10 is associated with increased risk of atherothrombotic stroke. Mutation in ARFGEF10 is also linked with slowed nerve conduction velocities and thin myelination of peripheral nerves.
