Anti-PLD1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total PLD1 protein.
The PLD1 (phospholipase D1) gene is mapped to human chromosome 3q26.31. The protein encoded consists of pleckstrin homology and phox homology domains.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human PLD1.
Immunogen Range: 527-576
Biochem/physiol Actions
PLD1 (phospholipase D1) is responsible for the hydrolysis of phosphatidylcholine to yield phosphatidic acid and choline. It controls EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) endocytosis, which is associated with the process of cell proliferation, differentiation, migration and survival. PLD1 regulates the metabolic flexibility of cancer cells to help it maintain its viability and proliferation in response to stress. Upregulation of the gene is observed in gastric cancer. PLD1 might play an important role in allergic disorders such as asthma.
