Anti-MYO1D antibody detects endogenous levels of total MYO1D protein. The MYO1D (myosin ID) gene is mapped to human chromosome 17q11. In rats, MYO1D is predominantly expressed in brain. The encoded protein belongs to the short-tailed class I myosin family.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human MYO1D.
Immunogen Range: 825-874
Biochem/physiol Actions
Myosin 1 is involved in cell motility, actin polymerization and vesicular transport.Myosin 1D possess ATPases (adenosine triphosphatase) action, which is inhibited by calcium binding to calmodulin. It is associated with membrane recycling pathway. It is known to be overexpressed during oligodendrocyte myelination. This gene serves as an important biomarker for autism disorder. Myosin 1D maintains cellular growth.
