Gene Information

human ... LTK(4058)

General description

Anti-LTK Antibody detects endogenous levels of total LTK protein.
Leukocyte tyrosine kinase (LTK) is a receptor tyrosine kinase. It is a member of the insulin receptor family. LTK is expressed in pre-B cells and brain. It is mapped to human chromosome 15q15. LTK has an ATG translational initiation codon, a secretory signal sequence, a 347 amino acid extracellular domain along with transmembrane and intracellular kinase domains.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human LTK.

Immunogen Range: 206-255

Application

Overexpression of leukocyte tyrosine kinase (LTK) results in leukemia. It participates in cell growth and anti-apoptotic signaling. This protein acts as a cell surface receptor for an unidentified cellular growth factor.
