General description

Anti-HSP60 antibody detects endogenous levels of total HSP60 protein.
Hsp60 (heat shock protein family D member 1) is a mitochondrial chaperone, located in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It is mapped to human chromosome 2q33.1.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human HSP60.

Immunogen Range: 511-560

Application

Anti-HSP60, C-Terminal antibody has been used in SDS/PAGE and western blot analysis.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Hsp60 (heat shock protein family D member 1) helps to gather proteins that are imported into mitochondrial matrix. Overexpression of Hsp60 results in Behcet′s Disease (BD),Crohn′s disease, juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM), and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
