General description

Anti-FOSB Antibody detects endogenous levels of total FOSB protein.

FosB (proto-oncogene, AP-1 transcription factor subunit) is transcription factor that belongs to Fos family of transcription factors. It is a ~50 kDa protein. FosB gene codes for δFosB (δ FosB). It is mapped to human chromosome 19q13.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human FosB.

Biochem/physiol Actions

FosB (proto-oncogene, AP-1 transcription factor subunit) acts as a diagnostic marker for pseudomyogenic hemangioendothelioma. δFosB controls multiplication, differentiation and death in epithelial cells.
