The CD3EAP (CD3e molecule, epsilon-associated protein) gene is mapped to human chromosome 19q13.3. It encodes a DNA-dependent RNA polymerase I subunit RPA34 (replication protein A34). This protein is localized to the nucleolus, in the fibrillar centers during interphase and the nucleolus organizer regions of the chromosomes during cell division. Anti-CD3EAP antibody detects endogenous levels of total CD3EAP protein.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CD3EAP.
Immunogen Range: 441-490
Biochem/physiol Actions
The CD3EAP (CD3e molecule, epsilon-associated protein) gene participates in the process of programmed cell death and ribosomal RNA transcription. CD3EAP expression is implicated in the pathogenesis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
