Gene Information

human ... WDR49(151790)

General description

Monoclonal Anti-WDR49 (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma W49.1 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a synthetic peptide. WD repeat-containing protein 49 (WDR49) is expressed as two isoforms. It is located on the human chromosome at 3q26.1.

Specificity

Monoclonal Anti-WDR49 recognizes human WDR49.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal sequence of human WDR49

Application

Monoclonal Anti-WDR49 antibody produced in mouse may be used in:
  • immunoblotting
  • flow cytometry
  • immunocytochemistry
  • immunofluorescence

Biochem/physiol Actions

WD repeat-containing protein 49 (WDR49) is deleted in liver cancer as well as fatal, disomy 3 uveal melanoma. It may play a role as a tumor suppressor gene.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Storage and Stability

For extended storage, freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing, orstorage in “frost-free” freezers,is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.
