General description

Anti-CPSF6 is produced in rabbit using as immunogen a synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal sequence in human CPSF6 conjugated to KLH. cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor 6 (CPSF6) is a 68 kDa subunit. It contains an N-terminal ribonuclear particle (RNP)-type RNA binding domain (RBD), which is necessary for binding to the 25 kDa subunit. The C-terminal region of CPSF 6 is rich in Arg-Ser (RS), RD and RE repeats like pre-mRNA splicing serine and arginine-rich (SR) proteins.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal sequence in human CPSF6

Application

Anti-CPSF6 antibody produced in rabbit has been used:
  • immunoblotting
  • immunofluorescence
  • immunoprecipitation

Biochem/physiol Actions

The C-terminal region of cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor 6 (CPSF 6) mediates the interaction in vitro with shuttling serine and arginine-rich (SR) proteins.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide
