General description

Monoclonal Anti-TBL1X (mouse IgG2b isotype) is derived from the hybridoma TX22 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant fusion protein. Transducin β-like protein 1X-linked (TBL1X) belongs to the tryptophan-aspartic acid (WD)-40 repeat proteins. This protein is found as a subunit in the corepressor silencing mediator for retinoid and thyroid receptors (SMRT) complex along with histone deacetylase 3 protein. The TBL1X gene is mapped on the human chromosome at Xp22.31.

Specificity

Monoclonal Anti-TBL1X recognizes human, bovine, and dog TBL1X.

Application

Anti-TBL1X antibody, Mouse monoclonal may be used in immunoblotting.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Transducin β-like protein 1X-linked (TBL1X) gene is universal and is obliterated in late-onset sensorineural deafness which is linked to X-linked syndrome of ocular albinism.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Storage and Stability

Store at –20 °C. For continuous use, the product may be stored at 2-8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing, or storage in “frost-free” freezers, is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.

Corepressors N-CoR and SMRT participate in diverse repression pathways and exist in large protein complexes including HDAC3, TBL1 and TBLR1. However, the roles of these proteins in SMRT-N-CoR complex function are largely unknown. Here we report the purification and functional

The corepressor SMRT mediates repression by thyroid hormone receptor (TR) as well as other nuclear hormone receptors and transcription factors. Here we report the isolation of a novel SMRT-containing complex from HeLa cells. This complex contains transducin beta-like protein 1
