Description

General description

Alcama is a member of immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily and is expressed in the pharyngeal endoderm.[1]

Immunogen

Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of zebrafish Alcama.

Application

Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: IHC-Wm: 1:100-1:500. Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the end user.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Alcama has a role in neurogenesis and mediates axon growth and guidance.[1]

Cell adhesion molecule. Involved in neurite extension by neurons via heterophilic and homophilic interactions.
