General description

TIR domain containing adaptor protein (TIRAP) is an adaptor protein and the gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 11q24.2.

Immunogen

Peptide with sequence C-EGEGERDSATVSDL from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_683708.1.

Biochem/physiol Actions

TIR domain containing adaptor protein (TIRAP) takes part in the toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling pathway. It activates various proteins and indirectly influences the release of inflammatory cytokines. This protein also has a role in the activation of proinflammatory genes.
