Ribonuclease/angiogenin inhibitor 1 (RNH1) is a cytoplasmic protein ubiquitously produced in all organs except testis. Rnh1 was first isolated from human placenta. The gene RNH1 is located in the human chromosome on 11p15.5.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human RNH1
Biochem/physiol Actions
Ribonuclease/angiogenin inhibitor 1 (RNH1) has several leucine rich repeats which aids them in protein-protein interaction. Rnh1 binds with greater affinity and reversibly to members of ribonuclease 1 (RNase 1). Rnh1 has high affinity to angiogenin and inhibits its angiogenic functionality.
Sequence
Synthetic peptide located within the following region: LLHPSSRLRTLWIWECGITAKGCGDLCRVLRAKESLKELSLAGNELGDEG
Physical form
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
