Biochem/physiol Actions

NAT9 (N-acetyltransferase 9) is a member of the N-acetyltransferase family mapped on chromosome 17q25. It has been reported that NAT9 gene may be associate with inflammatory arthritis, referred to as psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in NAT9 have been linked to a chronic inflammatory skin disorder, Psoriasis. It has also been reported that RUNX1-mediated defective regulation of NAT9 leads to a susceptible factor responsible for psoriasis.[1]
