LY6H (lymphocyte antigen 6 family member H) belongs to the Ly6 family of genes and is mapped to the chromosome 8q24. The encoded protein is predominantly expressed in the brain and also expressed in pancreas, testis, small intestine and colon. Ly6h is a membrane bound protein and is localized to synaptic compartments.
