Src is a proto-oncogene that regulates neuronal functions, such as nerve cell differentiation. The Src kinase family structurally comprises of SH2, SH3 and kinase domains, as well as a negative regulatory C-terminal tail. Src has also been implicated in functions such as cell growth, development and cell-cell interactions . Anti-phospho-Src (pTyr529) antibody is specific for human, mouse, rat and chicken Src (60 kDa). The product has not been tested for reactivity with Fyn and Yes (92% homologous).
Immunogen
The sequence is conserved in mouse, rat, chicken and frog.
synthetic phosphopeptide derived from the region of Src that contains tyrosine 529 based on the sequence of human src.
Application
Anti-phospho-Src (pTyr529) antibody is suitable for use in western blot (1:1,000 using human platelets or NIH3T3 cells). The product may also be used for immunoprecipitation (1:1000 using HEK293 or HEL cell lysates ) and and immunohistochemistry.
Physical form
Solution in Dulbecco′s phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.3, containing 50% glycerol, 1.0 mg/ml BSA (IgG and protease-free) and 0.05% sodium azide.

The proto-oncogene c-src has been implicated in the development and mature function of the nervous system. pp60c-src, the protein product of the c-src gene, is a tyrosine protein kinase that is highly enriched in fetal neural tissue. pp60c-src appears in

Src-family kinases are modular signaling proteins involved in a diverse array of cellular processes. All members of the Src family share the same domain organization, with modular SH3, SH2 and kinase domains followed by a C-terminal negative regulatory tail. X-ray

There is increasing evidence to suggest that cytoplasmic tyrosine kinases of the Src family have a pivotal role in the regulation of a number of cellular processes. Members of this family have been implicated in cellular responses to a variety

An earlier report showed that infected cell protein no. 0 (ICP0) of herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) interacts with the SH3 domains of a recently discovered adaptor protein, CIN85. Here, we report the following. (i) ICP0 also interacts with other
CDK5 activation promotes ischemic neuronal death in stroke, with the recognized activation mechanism being calpain-dependent p35 cleavage to p25. Here we reported that CDK5-Tyr15 phosphorylation by zinc induced CDK5 activation in brain ischemic injury. CDK5 activation and CDK5-Tyr15 phosphorylation were
