Gene Information

human ... CCL23(6368)

General description

CCL23 (C-C motif chemokine ligand 23) codes for a member of CC chemokine family.[1] CCL23 is also known as myeloid progenitor inhibitory factor 1 and is predominantly produced by eosinophils[2] The gene is mapped to human chromosome 17q12.[3]
The antibody pair provided in this kit recognizes human CK beta 8-1 / CCL23.

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

CCL23 (C-C motif chemokine ligand 23) mediates leukocyte trafficking and is associated with inflammatory diseases.[4] CCL23 is responsible for the recruitment of monocytes and macrophages through CCR1.[2] Upregulation of CCL23 is observed in chronic kidney disease and participates in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.[4][1]
