RB1 (RB transcriptional corepressor 1) codes for nuclear phosphoprotein pRB (retinoblastoma protein). It is located on chromosome 13q14. It is a tumor-suppressor gene.
Immunogen
synthetic phosphopeptide derived from the region of human Rb that contains Ser807.
Biochem/physiol Actions
RB1 (RB transcriptional corepressor 1) plays an important role throughout G1/S phase transition. Absence of RB induces prostate cancer metastasis. It plays an important role in modulating the cell cycle. It also regulates cell stemness and differentiation.
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, containing 1 mg/mL BSA (protease and IgG-free) and 0.05% sodium azide.
