General description

RAE1 (mRNA export factor 1) is a nucleic acid-binding protein. It is also called as Gle2 (RNA export factor) or mrnp41 (mRNA binding protein mrnp 41).[1] It is located on human chromosome 20q13.[2]

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 349-366 of human RAE1, conjugated to KLH via an N-terminal added cysteine residue. The corresponding sequence is identical in rat and mouse.

Application

Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.
Western Blotting (1 paper)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Suppression of RAE1 (mRNA export factor 1) affects the mitotic spindle assembly.[3] It involves in mRNA export as mRNP-interacting protein.[4] In mouse, Rae1 is necessary for early embryogenesis.[5]

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
