The epitope recognized by PLA0115 maps to a region between residues 2050 and 2100 of human DNA-Dependent Protein Kinase, catalytic subunit using the numbering given in entry NP_008835.5 (GeneID 5591).

DNA-PKcs is the catalytic subunit of a DNA-dependent serine-threonine protein kinase (DNA-PK). DNA-PK is a heterotrimer comprised of DNA-PKcs and the Ku709/Ku86 dimer. DNA-PK is involved in DNA damage repair and V(D)J recombination. DNA-PK phosphorylates Artemis, a protein required for nonhomologous end-joining and is necessary for the loading of Artemis on damaged DNA.
