Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to the third cytoplasmic loop of human P2Y12 platelet ADP receptor, conjugated to KLH. The immunizing peptide has 83% homology with the rat gene and 89% homology with the mouse gene.

Target description

P2Y12 Platelet ADP Receptor is co-expressed with the P2Y1 receptor on platelets leading to shape change, aggregation, and rise in intracellular calcium upon activation. P2Y12 has also been found in brain, spinal cord, and in vascular

Physical form

Solution in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.7, containing 0.1% sodium azide.

Arteriosclerosis, thrombosis, and vascular biology, 30(12), 2434-2442 (2010-11-13)
The platelet P2Y12 ADP receptor is a well-known target of thienopyridine-type antiplatelet drugs. This study is the first to describe increased transcriptional expression of a functionally active P2Y12 in response to thrombin in human vascular smooth muscle cells (SMC). On
